the candles i had left after the apples' 16th birthday

19 is such a hard year, so they tell me.

Yes, this is where you show me some lerv, Orble-ites. It is 2.22am as i write. I toddled off in the wee hours to, ahem, answer nature's call, and i remembered it's my birthday tahday, the one i keep forgetting about.

As my daughtie turned the enviable?? age of 16 last week (i was a complete mushball all day) my own me-day sat in the shadows singin' 'i don't wanna know about it'.

But now that it's here, i feel good, James Brown style (RIP).

So feed me a cherry and bring on the best year of my life.

(i know, i know, it makes me 3yo when i had her, it's my party and i'll dream if i want to)

Well, well...

I missed this the first time around. For a minute, I almost felt really bad for having missed it. But then, I put the morning's events into context and realized once again that I do not believe in accident, irony, chance, or luck. If it happens, there's a reason...

In another post, Lily wrote... "It's like the muse is dying to make way for a new birth."
