...was annoyed that my husband had woken me up so bloody early.
Sorry - I'm not good at poetry. Good idea though. Maybe tomorrow I'll feel more inclined to something that meets literary standards. Obviously need more sleep.
...was annoyed that my husband
had woken me up so bloody early.
I furrowed my brow adding to the crease left on my face by the twisted sheets. I said to my bloody husband, "you know, there are birds outside catching worms, take a look and lock up that chook".
no standards CC, doesn't have to be poetic. i liked your reply, made me giggle...
I rolled over again,
cuddled by my comfy,
cloud like doona,
I float -drifted through,
the haze of mind's gaze,
twinkling like twilight,
on the horizon of,
my waking mind.
I rolled over again,
cuddled by my comfy,
cloud like doona,
I float -drifted through,
the haze of mind's gaze,
twinkling like twilight,
on the horizon of,
my waking mind.
I hovered there
above the sea of dreams
still wet from her immersion
the horizon peeped open
one eye, one look and i'm
tumbling into her iris

wondered what land this was
that lay before my dream-filled eyes.
so i pulled up my bedsocks and wandered
down a pebbled road with a gemstone in my shoe

...saw pieces of my dream, flitting through my mind.
I closed my eyes to return to that dreamland...
for i had not yet bundled up the firewood
and was missing a flame and a storyteller

Waited for the pain,
She was there, but
Much more fair
So I recounted,
My dream,
Come back!
Oh, contentment,
Why are you just a dream?

had a whine and started acting silly...
still slightly drunk, fumbling for some jazzfunk,
wondering why I ended the night at a crunk club
... realised there was no-one sleeping next to me,
to tell me my breath stunk...

Why are you just a dream?
Am i dreaming you
or are you dreaming me?
let's sit on the beach
and watch the final colours

... noticed the time and felt guilty
had a whine and started acting silly...
still slightly drunk, fumbling for some jazzfunk,
wondering why I ended the night at a crunk club
... realised there was no-one sleeping next to me,
to tell me my breath stunk...
suddenly i was itchy all over so i pulled
back the covers and found i was sharing
my bed with a box of barbeque snacks
and a lollipop stuck to my toe
