I am a bitten petal, a velvet spit
..I am a thorny mouth, a pristine prick
....I thrive in composts of pruned beauty

I am a needles eye, a steel statue
..I am a pricked finger, a blood kiss
....I weave loathed tears into my loom

I am a cut pattern, an unsewn cloak
..I am darting eyes, a hope seeker
....I swaddle a woven heart before a loud clock

they are your words Lily, just how I feel about them I think poetry has to be read a few times for it to be understood, not just like skimming over text.
Poets must choose their words carefully, they have to be the perfect ones to instill the feelings they desire....you do that well....
you get it!!!
