I am a sky orphan, a fresh leaf wither
..I am a grave yawn, an entombed wail
....I dwell in the folds of a tourniquet

I am a lights out cell, an ebony scar
..I am a struck wall, a rusted iron bar
....I listen for the jangle of jailer's keys

I am a beheaded nomad, an oasis seeker
..I am an escaping fish, a hook bearer
....I shed dry scales on shores of sorrow

scars??? I have them too - physical and metaphorical....what do they do? remind us of how we have grown gerl!!!

pain??? it makes us feel!! I am going to rewind back on a film I have been watching and quote you what the guy said on it you will have to allow me to have another ......I'LL be baaaaaacccckkkk moment here!!!

are we suckers for pain?! is that our addiction? perhaps!!!!!!

I don`t recommend this film as it is too disturbing, but this guy says..with tears in his eyes...

"what`s the first thing you do when you get a cold?"

"Um chicken soup, aspirin, scotch...."

"No? We drown it, kill it, numb it. Anything not to feel. They don;t thank you here like they do here, coz here they feel eveything. Straight from God, there;s no painkillers, it`s the weirdest, purest thing - suffering."

We need to feel pain and that is ok. It is the most basic of feelings of us humans. Should we be ostracised for this? Nah I reckon not hey! We should be allowed to feel, express ourselves in the same way as every HAPPY JOE is able to express themselves

Ash, i am and have often been ostrich-sized

... for wearing my pain... i'm over it.. let the happy joes be happy.. and let me feel the pain that has made it's way into my river.... the challenge is not to numb it.. the best remedy? other souls in the river (beware; pulling each other down) and those that climbed up and out onto the banks, reminding you that you don't have to stay there... after a while, choice arrives... if that makes any sense..

i toldya i loved how you skipped the 'little l' .. gerfreend.. tis how it's said.... oh and Bob Marley... ROCKS!!!!! (Exodus)

as the murky waters
lap at our shoulders
so we plow our hands
in deeper

the end forever

disappearing

forever sinking lower

do we continue to stride?
to strike that water with our hands?
as the people on the shore
walk away
and turn their backs?

yes....
we swim to clearer water
to where mermaids rest
and brush their silky air
and dark skies
shine down

and craterless moons

i say, 'keeping my head above water' ...

i love the feel of those clearer waters
calmer sunnier..less

an ostrich lash brush
stroking our, perfumed lil
silk wisps, some shells,
abandoned homes
to the beautiful away moon..
and we're set, kindred
but i do like them craters
they catch the night
for shelter, i find little lights
there too..
and no gravity..
or currents or banks
... certainly no tsunamis...
