i learned how to record an mp3...
very green at reading... practice practice!

Malady
i know the way, this way, your way
through the direction of your voice
your wind song rises to eat my sun
and i am wired to your yearnings
but the words i need to give you
fall away the closer i get, the more i listen
i cannot hear the waves anymore
i am a conduit of the pain you sing
in the dark recesses of the malady you serve
i cannot reach you, i cannot reach you
teach me

wow so many sensations rose up as I read your words. So many bittersweet emotions.
This particularly echoes through my mind...
i am a conduit of the pain you sing
I can`t put into words what I feel when I read this but... you always say so much that I can never put into words!
huggins to ya gerl

Listening is a skill I wasn't always so skilled at, but I'm learning.... and I'm learning that listening can say so much more than speaking.
Being willing to learn about another person, what makes them tick, how they think, the way they process the world around them, takes the focus off of our own selves and our own needs - and leads us to a point that you've so eloquently described....
Beautifully written, Lily.

I felt the same when i read 'Your weekend greatness!' Ash. So precious those moments, thanks for sharing them.
It is the highest compliment to me when someone reads one of my poems, and is left without words, then i know my words have laid themselves across the heart.
Nearly spring Ash, lots of nooks and crannies in the neglected garden waiting to be explored ..
stay warm, stay cool,

I'm learning a lot about silence and listening. Never too old to learn.
Your comment put a whole new perspective on this piece for me, now I can see who I wrote it for.. thank you

For me, this touches some distant melody.. vaguely reminsicent of something painful?.... yet strangely forgotten in the mists of time.. a voice whispers....was love ever meant to be so sad?
Loads of love...

I just realised that you had attached an MP3 to this! how great to hear your voice! It is sooooo very soothing, you reminded me of a meditation CD I listened to.
I`m coming back with more you should recite... I think you have opened a whole new Orble door! Hearing your voice kinda makes you real now!

interesting to hear how others perceive your voice. i recorded this when i was sick -- seems i've been sick all winter..a real drag. just get through the spring colds and it should be uphill from there... we'll see...
you could always record that little poem i made up of your words, i wanna hear your rasp too.... go onnnnn

hmmm..
how: download the (free) 'Audacity 1.2.6' program (2.12 MB), learn a few basics, and record...
register with mediamax (dotcom), or any other audio storage site (i went with mediamax because they're offering free limited storage), and post the final url alongside your words..
lemme know if you need a shadow, Kleo..

First I have to plan out what I'll do, then I have to think about it, then I'll get around to it.....
Im the sort of person that thinks about doing it today, but actually does it in a week!
