Flamingos like to stand on one leg and can sleep like that, and hippos are the most dangerous animals in the world because they're so heavy, according to dr dolittle aka the daughtie

it wasn't a good day
when he backed me in a corner
and helped me play victim

no it wasn't a good day
when he crushed every
thing we had between us
with his gloved iron fist

i tried to tell him i need gentle
i tried to tell him i needed him

~Lily

Oh... I do hope this is from the archives and not something recent.

This raises the hairs on my arms... and not in such a great way. The writing is great (of course)... but the memories it draws forth are... well, icky.

:::hugs:::

Good morning, Lily.

Oh, gurl.... ya got that write right! There are a lot of memories from my past that I will try to heal through writing... but then there are those that are best left buried in their internal graves.

my purrleasure Dusk,

a friend once told me, tears and roses are a poet's reward... me thinks they be right... though i would add smiles to that list...

I'd put up a pic of a hippo, but i don't like em as much.. smiles...

Hi Lily

No doodle or noodle....no luck with it yet and for some reason I can't log into my own blog to answer other people's comments.....so I'm flitting all over the place dropping into as many as I can which is fun.......

I like the description of mending the self.....it gives hope and describes it as a process which to me, it is...

Byeee,
Tracy

I want a flamingo for my own...
And Oh, ouch, I know that victim game...So hard, for a strong woman who writes intelligent and moving prose, who is respected and loved and rules her world....
To get pushed and backed into a corner and made someones prey....
Why is it some people have the power to just steal all you predatory viciousness and make you cower and say "Dont hurt me...Please"
Ive mentioned my experiences on Lillas dream interpretation, but not quite brave enough to write about it yet....
He might find out and come looking for me.

oh yah, how cool would that be? to have a bunch of em in your backyard just wading away, leg up.. and peacocks too, i want peacocks!! .. and doves too... i could go on and on.. i love birds..

I can't answer your questions Kleo, but i will say when it does happen, it's a very painful thing, melting everything solid.

Later, i will shimmy on over to Lilla's blog and read of your dream. You could write about it and write under a pseudonym? or just write for you, for the release
..smile. I hope you can be brave one day Kleo, there are huge rewards for it.

love and a posy of violets,
~Lily

Lily.
I did....'Inner Caverns' but I dont recommend reading it, its garbage. You are listed as the sole inspiration!
Woops, sorry, that just came out all wrong...I didnt mean that. I mean my writing was garbage but you inspired me to delve into a place I usually forget. And I dont really want to forget, I want to remember so I dont fall into a similar trap...
Im so damn paranoid over writing it, I had to change my post pic!
And I have wanted a peacock for so long, the stud manager kept two, and I miss their mournful cries...For some reason, farms with peacocks are extra peaceful.

Kleo,

Perhaps you can let me judge where 'Inner Caverns' is garbage or not? Actually, rewind, I don't see any poetry as garbage, it's all worthy to be in the house of life, because it comes from the heart.

Memories are good to air and keep close.. in the words of Wendi, so glad you are writing righting into the breeze.... btw, i love the title already...

Peacocks ~sigh~ fascinating creatures.. i didn't know they cry mournfully..

with a gallop to Various Excerpts of Angst,
