Ars Poetica - by Lily

The Blessing Day

April 28th 2007 14:53
Once upon a time, there was a maze, with fruit tree borders, and Angels and Fairies would skip and play hide and seek among these trees, together. When they were weary, they would lay down amid the soft clover and listen. The trees would beckon them to be still, as they told their stories about the frozen ones with beating hearts, and the blessing day.

The Blessing Day
The Blessing Day

Up in the Rowan tree
a tawny owl sits; still
indifferent to all the ruckus
on the forest floor
there, in a clearing
is a bronzed woman
water trickles from her offering
and flows over her beautiful form
the lily pads mouths are open
she has been showered
in colourful jewels
i watch her keen
as she pushes up the sky
she whispers my name
to hear my name
upon her lips is heaven to me
as my name was once
unmentionable
coloured tassels and one teardrop
watch over the balms of touch

i am reverent to the gifting
watch the maid-made
maze and remember the
stories back home about
how they like to lure
the boys in there
take their watches
and get them lost
forever..

Did I say that I was so chuffed the muse has returned Lily? oh let me say it again...

I'M SO CHUFFED YOUR MUSE HAS RETURNED...

there is such a calmness about this... a cleansing... just listening as the water washes over the body, the sound of the trickling, the quiet brush of the grass and ripples of wind on the water...

such beauty in your words Lily

Oh Lily....first the Lovendar Bath and where that led me....and now I yearn to find a maze...not just any...an amazing maze where magic lies and one's name can once again be mentionable.....
Truly beauteous.....truly lovely.....worthy and fitting for the beautiful garden, worthy of inscribing at the maid's feet for all to see...thank you XXXX

Gorgeous...

This bit grabbed me and held on...

to hear my name
upon her lips is heaven to me
as my name was once
unmentionable

Your posts are medicine for me today. I'm glad I found the opportunity to play catch-up.

.... learning to be still, even when in motion....

Kleo,

the structure forms itself when words are centred...
i never know what 'shape' they'll come out in.. others see more in them than what i do... but i'm glad they do..

merci for your stroll through the lily pads, Kleo

Ah, thats where you're wrong. The computer forms a shape when you click 'centre' true....
But the structure is made by you.....
